Carbopol^®

Carbomers such as Carbopol^® are water soluble vinyl polymers, used as stabilizing, suspending, thickening and gelling agents in many industries. They are widely used in the manufacture of cosmetics and toiletries, including gels, creams and lotions, detergents and air fresheners.

Carbopol^® is a difficult product to handle, it is a low density powder which tends to float when added to water. A Silverson high shear mixer can rapidly disperse the powder giving a uniform and agglomerate free mix.
